Top 5 Places to Watch Fireworks in DFW This 4th of July (Plus 1 Bonus Spot)

America turns 250 this year, and the DFW metroplex is going all out. Whether you’re posted up on a downtown lawn or lakeside with a picnic blanket, here’s everything you need to know to catch the best fireworks shows in North Texas this Independence Day — including when to arrive, where to park, and where to grab a bite beforehand.

Pura Vida, y’all. However you celebrate this year, I hope it’s full of good food, great company, and gratitude for this wild, beautiful place we call home.

1. Addison Kaboom Town! — Friday, July 3

📍 Addison Circle Park 🎆 Airshow 7:30pm • Fireworks ~9:30pm

One of the largest fireworks shows in the country, and it kicks off the celebration a day early. Mark your calendar — this one’s on July 3rd, not the 4th.

  • Parking: Lots fill fast and many require tickets. Park in office lots off Quorum Dr. or Addison Rd. and walk in, or use rideshare to skip the hassle altogether.
  • When to arrive: Gates open at 5pm. Get there by 5:30–6pm to grab lawn space before the airshow kicks off at 7:30pm.
  • Where to eat: Addison is famous for its “Restaurant Row” along Belt Line Rd. Grab an early dinner there before the crowds pack in.

2. Klyde Warren Park — Saturday, July 4

📍 Downtown Dallas 🎆 7–9:30pm • Fireworks ~9:20pm

Nothing beats a skyline backdrop. This one’s free, family-friendly, and right in the heart of the city.

  • Parking: $6 parking at the Plaza of the Americas garage, or park Uptown and walk in.
  • When to arrive: Come by 7pm for the presentation of colors — lawn spots with skyline views go fast.
  • Where to eat: Grab a bite from the on-site food trucks (open from 11am), or swing by Mi Cocina before you post up.

3. Fort Worth’s Fourth — Saturday, July 4

📍 Panther Island Pavilion 🎆 5–10pm • Fireworks ~9:30pm

A full evening on the water — tubing, splash pads, and a fireworks finale over the river.

  • Parking: Lots near Panther Island fill early. Park near West 7th or the Near Southside and rideshare or walk the Trinity Trails in.
  • When to arrive: Doors open at 5pm. Get there by 6pm so the kids can hit the water slides and tubing before the show.
  • Where to eat: Fuel up beforehand at Twisted Root on West 7th — always a win before a night on the river.

4. Frisco Freedom Fest — Saturday, July 4

📍 Riders Field 🎆 4:30–10pm • Fireworks ~10pm

Catch a RoughRiders game before the fireworks finale caps off the night.

  • Parking: Stadium lots fill with the game-day crowd. Arrive early, or park at Frisco Square and walk over.

5. Grapevine Fireworks Show — Saturday, July 4

📍 Lake Grapevine 🎆 Fireworks at 9:30pm • ~18 minute show

A lakeside classic — bring a blanket and watch the show reflect off the water.

📍 Breckinridge Park 🎆 Gates 6pm • Fireworks 9:30pm

A hometown favorite for North Dallas families, with a free shuttle that makes parking a non-issue.
